This very small 3 Watt bulb (#2821) is one of two used inside the "Motometer" instrument clusters used on most Airhead models from 1974 through 1995.* This bulb illuminates the gauges themselves and two of the indicator lights in the center between the gauges.
The equivalent BMW part # is 07 11 9 905 358.
The other bulb (1.2 Watt #2721) illuminates four of the indicator lights. If one or two of the bulbs have failed, it is recommended to replace them all as it it's rather a time consuming process to remove the cluster and open it up to access the bulbs. FOUR of each bulb required.
*Also used for gauge illumination on R65, R80G/S, R80ST, R100GS models through 1990.
