The Rack Sack is an auxiliary cargo bag specifically for the top case luggage racks on the R1200CL. The Rack Sack attaches quickly and securely to either type luggage rack. The Rack Sack is expandable! While the standard 16 liter capacity is more than adequate for carrying typical add-on items such as a couple of rain suits, extra gloves, and more; you’ll be ready for those times when you need a little more space simply by unzipping the expansion gusset. Now the Rack Sack swells to hold an additional 9 liters!
Note: With your safety in mind, the Rack Sack is purposefully designed to be conservative in size. Be sure not to overload your motorcycle! Observe the weight limitations as shown in your owners manual, and pack only soft and lightweight items in the Rack Sack.
Mounting the bag on the rack takes just seconds, yet it’s rock solid, even at high speeds. No flapping or wobbling. Four attaching tabs, front and back, utilize the slots built into the rack. Then a lateral strap loops through the rack and cinches down to keep both the bag and its contents tight and secure. Furthermore, the lateral strap doubles as a shoulder strap for convenience when carrying the Rack Sack off the bike. Finally, there’s a ScotchLite® reflective strip on the back for safety.

*This material is waterproof as claimed by the manufacturer, but sewn-through seams and zippers of the Rack Sack obviously are not. Though the bag is designed to minimize leakage, small amounts of water may get through seams and zippers during prolonged or heavy rain. To maximize weather protection we recommend coating seams on the inside with a good quality tent-type seam sealer, available where ever outdoor recreation equipment is sold.
