Classic Bar-Bax are for the conventional round handlebars as found on Air-Heads, K75 & K100's, also F650, R1100/1150GS. They move the bars up 1 inch and back 1.25 inches. You must also order an appropriate BOLT KIT for your model. There is no charge. The Bolt Kit in INCLUDED in the price of the Bar-Bax.
BOLT-5....1970-1973 Twins
BOLT-R....1974-1984 Twins (except R65, R80ST)
***R100R - will fit if the bottom half of the gauge faceplate is cut and switches are mounted in another location.
***R50/5 - R100/7 - will not fit with steering damper.* Use longer cables and hoses from RT's as needed.
***R90S, R100S, R100RS - will not fit with steering damper.* Use longer cables and hoses from standard models as needed.
***R100GS - No modifications needed.
***R80ST, R65 - will not fit due to gauge cover.
*NOTE: Not recommended for models with steering dampers, unless you are willing to remove the knob to avoid interferencewith the Bar-Bax.
BOLT-K....K75 & K100, Air-Heads 1985 and up & F650
***K75S Fitment and K100RS 1983-1990 with brake hose to steering stem: Use a longer
brake hose from a K75C 34321451569.
***K75RT and K75's with the brake hose going directly to the caliper: cut the zip ties
and relocate the hose and cables.
***K1100LT and RS - will work if a cover plate is used from a K75C, 32711459317 but it
will be neccessary to reach behind the cover to access the ignition switch.
***K100 1985-1988 and K75 1986-1991 (non ABS) There is inadequate clearance between
the bottom of the BarBax and the brake line (runs through the steering stem) A
custom line must be used.
