Basic ORDERING Information:
While many of our most popular products are available for convenient online purchase, the merchandise on our web site is by no means our entire inventory. For access to ALL our parts, accessories, and apparel the easiest way to place an order is to call our TOLL-FREE order line 1- 800-269-2627. Call between 9:00am and 6:00pm Monday through Friday, or 9:00am to 4:00pm Saturday. Of course, FAX and e-mail orders can be placed anytime. We make every effort to ship all orders within ONE business day of when they are received, however telephone orders tend to get priority. There is NO MINIMUM ORDER at Bob's!

Please: If you have technical questions, or some inquiry that will require research or lengthy discussion, be courteous to our other customers by calling on our regular parts line: 301-497-8949. Shipping PRICE Information for ONLINE Purchases:
With our online Rider’s Store, getting information about all your shipping options and what they’ll cost is easy. For our domestic customers, once you’re in the secure Rider’s Store portion of our site and you’re ready to check out, simply enter your ZIP code in the window of the Shopping Cart bar on the right side of the screen. The rates for the various levels of FedEX Ground (our default shipper) are shown automatically, or you can choose to see rates for UPS OR USPS. For orders originating outside the US, click the button for “International Customers”, and upon filling in the information, your shipping cost will be displayed (usually USPS). In any case the exact shipping cost of your total order will appear, which INCLUDES handling and insurance as well as additional charges, if any, for oversize/overweight items. If you decide to change your order, the shipping costs will refresh accordingly. It’s as easy as that. No confusion. No surprises.

We ship by FedEX Ground in the continental US unless you request otherwise. To simplify the process of calculating the shipping and handling charges for our phone and fax customers, we quote shipping cost based on the dollar amount of your total purchase. Where applicable, there are additional charges for items that are overweight, oversize, or that require special handling. Additional shipping charges may also apply to rural areas. The chart below shows how shipping and handling charges are calculated. (Updated March, 2009)

Bob's BMW reserves the right to alter shipping charges either up or down depending on individual cases. Though it should seldom be necessary, in the case of an extreme size/weight/handling situation where the shipping cost must be higher than what the above chart indicates, you will be notified of this change by phone or email before your order is shipped.

Other shipping options for domestic orders are available upon request. These include air-expedited services such as FedEx (overnight), UPS Red Label (next day), UPS Blue Label (2nd day), UPS 3-Day Select, as well as US Parcel Post and several common carriers for oversize shipments sent domestically. Shipping cost is based on the weight and dimension of the package. To that we add a modest fee for materials and handling*. When you request one of the shipping services above we will provide a realistic estimate of your total shipping cost. If you need an exact quote, please ask.

We Ship INTERNATIONAL Orders!

We make every effort to choose the most reliable and cost efficient carrier to the various countries we serve. At the present time, Canadian and most other international orders are shipped by UPS International, unless requested otherwise. In all cases, any additional customs and brokerage fees, whether added by the carrier or the destination government, are the responsibility of the customer.

We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover for all orders. When mailing or faxing an order, please remember to include a home AND daytime phone number, your credit card number and the expiration date. Mail orders may also be pre-paid by money order or certified check.

We will ship COD (with orders placed by phone only), but payment must be made with certified check or money order. Cash or personal checks will NOT be accepted! Dealers may pay with a company check but must obtain prior approval. There is an additional shipping charge of $12.00 on all COD orders. If you refuse a COD order, you will be responsible for all shipping charges, and no further orders will be allowed until those charges are paid.
If You Receive DAMAGED GOODS:
All merchandise is in good condition when it leaves Bob's. When you receive a package, open it and inspect the contents immediately. Be sure to save all packing materials. If a part is lost (box broken open) or damaged in transit, you should immediately notify us. Do not return the part until you have contacted us FIRST, as this would make it impossible to collect on a claim from the carrier. All merchandise is shipped insured for full value* and the responsibility for proper delivery is upon the carrier. We will work with you and the carrier to make sure that any problem is resolved as quickly as possible. Call us at 301-497-8949
*If US Mail orders are shipped uninsured, either at your request or because insurance is unavailable, you must bear all responsibility for loss or damage.
IF YOU NEED TO MAKE A RETURN …

You must first contact our parts department by phone at 301-497-8949, ext. 504 for a Return Authorization number. Returned merchandise that comes to us without a Return Authorization number may be refused and returned to you at your expense, or it may simply sit here for a VERY LONG TIME before any action is taken on it. Returns sent to us COD will NOT be accepted under any circumstances.

Returns MUST be accompanied by a copy of the invoice and must be returned in original packaging. (We mean the manufacturer's original packaging, if applicable, not the shipping carton it came in.) With a marker, write the Return Authorization number on the outside of the box where it is clearly visible. Then by US Parcel Post, UPS, FedEx or whichever method is most affordable and/or convenient for you, send it to:

Returns made after 30 days are subject to a restocking fee of 15% or $5.00, whichever is greater. The following items are NOT returnable - except when damaged or defective, in which case they will be replaced : electrical items, bearings, books & CD-ROMs, BMW special tools, special ordered or custom made items, parts & accessories that have been installed or show signs of use or wear, helmets, or any apparel worn next to the skin.

IMPORTANT: All shipping costs related to returns and exchanges are the responsibility of the customer - except in the case of defective or damaged merchandise or when incurred because of an error on our part.

MONEY BACK GUARANTEE:
We are confident that you will be happy with every purchase you make from Bob's BMW. If, for any reason, you are not 100% satisfied with any of our products, please contact us right away. You may return merchandise (except as noted below), provided it is unused and in original condition, within 30 days from the date of invoice for a full refund of the purchase price.
No returns on electrical items, bearings, books & CD-ROMs, BMW special tools, special ordered or custom made items, parts & accessories that have been installed or show signs of use or wear, helmets, or any apparel worn next to the skin.

*A nominal HANDLING charge is added to the rate charged to us by FedEx, UPS and other carriers to cover the cost of materials (boxes, bubble wrap, tape, etc.) which have risen considerably. Whenever feasible we will use recycled materials to help keep costs down and reduce waste, which in turn, helps us keep our shipping & handling charges competitive. Bob’s BMW is not in the shipping business and we don’t make money doing it. Shipping is a service for which we simply pass on the costs. Our customers occasionally ask us about merchants who advertise FREE shipping. Well, shipping is never free, and in fact, it’s getting more expensive all the time. Be assured, merchants who tout free shipping have only deferred the cost of shipping by cutting back on service or quality elsewhere. Our aim, as always, is to provide the BEST possible service to our customers. We welcome your questions and feedback about our shipping charges and policies.
